2023 SPRING ACADEMY INFORMATION

The Saskatoon Minor Football North Sask Academy is intended to allow players from Saskatoon and area to experience a high level of instruction and competition in the game of Football from a specialized position. 

The Academy will be open to players born in  2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 or in Grade 8 to Grade 12 .

NEW FOR 2023 - As part of the Academy, SMF is offering additional position specific training for your selected Primary Position. The cost is $165 and includes 6 position specific 1 hour indoor turf sessions. These sessions will focus on skill development to prepare all Academy athletes prior to the spring season.

The Academy will practice twice a week. The players in the Academy will receive training in Football Skills, Football Systems, Football Analysis, and Leadership Skills. Strength and football specific off-field training session will also be offered at Ignite Athletic Conditioning as a part of the program. 

The purpose of the Academy is to enhance an athletes football knowledge and on field performance. This program will prepare players for the U16 and U18 provincial team try-outs as well as their High School season. 

League will be divided into two division 

• U16 Born in 2008 & 2009

• Varsity Born in 2005 or later
